I tell you, I’ve really been putting my nose to the grindstone for the past few weeks on putting all the final plans together for the grand opening of my new Wicca Supply shop in the city. I’ve already had the web site taking orders for a couple months now, and business is not bad considering what a brief period the site has been up.

For the actual Wiccan supply shop, I am going to be concentrating less on incense and candles and things like that than on lifestyle gear. The majority of what I am anticipating to carry in the boutique are things like Wiccan clothing, but we’ll also carry some Wiccan witchcraft supplies. There’s a lot of it that targets the more established, older Wicca folks and a lot of some really youthful and hip items that appeal more to the teen witches. There will also be plenty of jewelry with all kinds of different gemstones, each with nice gift cards outlining the function and meaning of the stone or stone combination in the piece. I more than likely won’t be getting in too many books, since I feel like the profits are not high enough on them and that books don’t sell as much volume as I would need, but I can only think that we will have a modest selection of some of the very best.

And we will probably put up just one or two shelves of the basic witchcraft gear, as much for kitsch as for any other reason, and I will carry a lot of cool Wicca decorations around the store and candles and incense going and all of this. I have an image of the place in my mind’s eye that I really hope I can make a reality when putting it all together since if I can it will be really just a beautiful place to work at and make my living. I’m also looking forward to having the chance to meet more folks in the local Wiccan community as well, since we haven’t yet met very many of them since we moved out to the city and I’ve so far found the folks within this community to be nice folks to know.
